In 2023, the WPBeginner Growth Fund invested in Seahawk Media, intending to combine their WordPress services expertise with our platform to launch WPBeginner Pro Services and offer quality development and maintenance solutions across our brands.
During our partnership, Seahawk Media achieved strong results, including a 3x increase in their business.
Looking ahead, we are refocusing on our strengths: building best-in-class premium WordPress plugins and software products. This focus is where we provide the most value to the WordPress community.
Because of a long-term strategic misalignment with Seahawk Media’s leadership, we have decided to exit our investment. We wish the Seahawk Media team all the best in their future endeavors.
What This Means for WPBeginner Pro Services Customers
Effective immediately, WPBeginner Pro Services will be closed. We are committed to making the transition smooth. Any services you have paid for will be completed to the standard you expect.
If you are on a website maintenance plan, you may:
1) Have your plan and services migrated to Seahawk Media so they can continue providing support.
2) Cancel your WPBeginner Pro Services plan with no penalty. Customers on annual plans are eligible for pro-rated refunds.
Our support team will contact all affected customers with detailed next steps.
